Josh Allain (pronounced uh-LAYN; born on January 29, 1991) is an illustrator based in Upper Darby Township, Pennsylvania. Using pencil, paper, Sharpie marker, collage, and Adobe Photoshop, his work is inspired by astronomy, music, and psychedelia. The grandson of 3-time Grammy Award-winning jazz pianist Ramsey Lewis (1935 – 2022), Josh earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in general fine arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2014. He has exhibited in group shows at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, James Oliver Gallery, Main Line Art Center, Tattooed Mom Restaurant & Bar, and Mriya Gallery, among other locations.
