Josh Allain (pronounced uh-LAYN; born on January 29, 1991) is an illustrator from Upper Darby Township, Pennsylvania, outside of Philadelphia. Using pencil, Sharpie marker, collage, and Adobe Photoshop, his work is inspired by astronomy, music, and psychedelia. The grandson of three-time Grammy Award-winning jazz pianist Ramsey Lewis (May 27, 1935 – September 12, 2022), Josh earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in general fine arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art on May 19, 2014. He has been exhibiting in group shows throughout the Greater Philadelphia Area since January 21, 2017, and he is currently selling his merchandise online.
